Days like this are beautiful. You emerge from you corner to find the sun staring down at you, promising you that it is finally spring. Holidays are here and the outside worlds beacons, promising of laugher, butterflies and many hours on the trampoline.
You emerge outside, laughing with glee. The three weeks you are promised seem like they could last forever.
You reach your trampoline to realise that an errant possum has decided it was going to be sick. Annoyed, but undettered, you clean it up with tank water you father has installed due to the drought.
Finally you are allowed you time to fly.
Soon your time is up and you must go and make up a dance you have to perform at 4 o’clock.
You sigh to yourself. It was worth it to buy a moment of freedom.
Trying to dance in the corner
